The founder of From Jeanie’s Kitchen, Joanna Spitalieri was born and raised in South Philadelphia. There she had an upbringing of memorable experiences and many of them were watching her mom enjoy cooking.

Philly is full of great history, culture, and food. Behind many of the doors in South Philadelphia are some exceptional cooks and Joanna‘s mom Jeanie is one of them. She has been cooking since she was 12 years old to help out her mom and realized that she loved to cook.

Joanna wanted to bring her mother’s greatest recipes for you to enjoy and share the experience that she grew up with. Joanna and Jeanie are offering some of their authentic family recipes from Sicily and from South Philly. They have created a series of step by step 5 to 7 minutes video clips of some of their favorate recipes for you to make.
